Rusty R is taking the world by storm. He is by Royal Hit who predominantly is known as a dressage sire. As a result, Rusty R does have spectacular paces, is naturally very soft through the poll and so travels ever so easily on the bit. Rusty R is a beautiful ride, being soft in the hand and having a wonderful soft back, which makes sitting trot a fun pace, we expect him to grow just a little bit more. On the dam�s side, Rusty R goes back to the thoroughbred stallion Vain. Vain is known throughout the eventing world as being the sire of Brilliant Invader, who in turn is the sire of Olympic gold medallists and world champions such as Ready Teddy
under New Zealand Olympic rider Blythe Tait. Somewhere in these genetics, Rusty R has picked up some wonderful jumping talent and does jump with superb form and technique. Rusty R not only displays classical technique over the fences but is also very airborne and watchful of the rails, resulting in him rarely having a rail down in competition. Rusty R has already done his first one-day event and led from start to finish in a very impressive fashion. Between the time of writing and the auction, Rusty R will have competed in straight dressage and show-jumping competitions. Rusty R has a very steady temperament, is obviously a winner and has just started his competition career in the most spectacular of ways.
